My Students

How can we keep our students actively engaged in the classroom when in today's world our children are immersed in instant gratification through technology? We as educators need ways to continue to keep them actively engaged while also teaching them the necessary skills to be successful outside of school. Some of these skills include communication, collaboration, problem solving, and perserverance.

The students in my classroom are energetic, curious, and eager to learn.

They love assignments which take them outside of our classroom or that are unique opportunities for them to flourish and think outside of the box. They shine when they are challenged and able to apply their learning beyond the typical textbook or worksheet.

My Project

This project will enhance student learning and develop critical thinking skills. Breakout EDU also encourages students to work together to solve a problem which is a much needed skill in society today. Students will be immersed in solving problems in all subject areas. This is the best thing about Breakout EDU- it covers multiple grade levels and subject areas. It can be used over and over again in many different ways. The possibilities are endless. Students will be engaged, encouraged to think outside the box, and participating in challenges which require higher level application of skills taught in the classroom.
