My Students

As a special education teacher, my room is filled with a diverse group of learners. My students are diagnosed with disabilities such as specific learning disabilities, high functioning Autism, ADHD, and others. High school is a difficult time for many, but my students have the added pressure of not being able to process and maintain information in the same way as their peers.

They live in the low country of South Carolina but many have not had the chance to experience the ocean.

New books and other exciting curriculum can help expand their views of the world and increase their stamina and passion for academics again.

My Project

My students and I are asking for your help in purchasing one Breakout EDU kit with platform access.

Many of my student's disabilities cause social anxiety and they often miss out on the chance to fully participate in group projects.

But not anymore! This Breakout EDU kit will immerse my students in a brand new kind of learning platform that is much like an escape room. They will work together to solve clues and unlock locks that will grant them access to over 500 lessons and games, all covering a variety of instructional levels and subject areas. My students will also be able to generalize these critical thinking and collaboration skills in their other classes.
