My students need a Breakout Edu Kit to make learning hands-on.
This project expired on March 16, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My sixth grade class is very diverse in learning styles. It is a co-taught room, meaning there are two teachers. I am the general education teacher and I also have a special education teacher that pushes in for Reading, Math and English. With this set up, I teach both regular education student and students with learning disabilities at the same time. Even with some of the general challenges, my students are eager to be at school and learn. Our student population has a very high low-income rate. So at school, I try to provide them with as many resources and support possible to aid them in receiving the most out of their education.
By using the Breakout Edu kit and platform, students will have a way to apply the content knowledge learned in class in a hands-on and engaging format. Through this process, students will be required to think outside the box to develop critical thinking skills they will need throughout their lives. Not only is this a great way to bring fun and excitement into learning and the classroom, students will also be learning fundamental team building skills. Breakout Edu has so many possibilities that no student will be left behind. Students will be able to use this one kit and apply it to all subject areas.
