My Students

My students are ready to tackle any challenge! As the rigor increases, struggling readers have to work even harder.

We work hard every single day to bridge the gaps in their learning.

My students are motivated and work collaboratively with their classmates every day. They work on increasing their thinking skills and have a strong sense of pride when it comes to their responsibility as learners.

My Project

We need nonfiction reading materials to increase reading comprehension skills. The nonfiction reading cards will allow my students to practice building grade appropriate knowledge. The cards provide high interest text and students will be required to use evidence to answer questions. The write and wipe graphic organizers will help my students organize their thinking when reading nonfiction text. The match and sort cards will be a hands on activity to challenge and engage my students. They will be able to practice informational text skills with these game cards.

Students will be able to explore nonfiction text in depth and increase their critical thinking skills.

All of these nonfiction resources will greatly enhance students reading skills for years to come.
