My Students

My second graders are bright, enthusiastic learners. We start each day with a smile and get right to work. We are lucky to have a district and principal who value academics and creativity and see the importance and benefits of student-guided learning.

As in any classroom, my students display a wide range of abilities.

I want to keep them engaged at their individual levels, but it can be difficult, especially for my advanced students. With the right materials, I can push them to go beyond the regular assignments and increase their knowledge and critical thinking skills.

I am always looking for ways to help my students learn in fun and creative ways. When they are engaged and excited about learning, they show tremendous results.

My Project

Many of my students are struggling with reading because of the impact of COVID. I would love to have the tools to help them improve their phonics skills and increase their desire to read.

The materials I have selected will help my students learn to read, and they will also make reading more fun and exciting!

I will use the magnetic letters and white boards in small groups to help my struggling readers with phonics skills. The pointers and games will help keep their attention as we work on our reading skills. The books I chose will motivate them to read, and they go with our science curriculum.

I would be thrilled to have these supplies to help my struggling readers with phonics skills. I know my students would be excited to have new activities and books to help them on their journey to become better readers!
