My students are all special education students who love to learn! Each one of them is very unique and has a specific set of needs to be met within the classroom, and I make my best effort to do just that. The district is considered low-income and the majority of the students live within walking distance of school.
My students look forward to a new learning adventure each day.
School opens so many doors and opportunities for them, considering the community they live in. Everyday they come to school ready to learn and face their disabilities in a way that allows them to overcome their struggles, put their best effort forward, and learn something new each day.
My students are all special education students and need lower level books specific to their reading levels. There is a wide range of levels within my classroom and each student has a different interest in books. With such a wide variety of levels within a K-4 sped classroom, there is a large gap to fill when it comes to purchasing books.
These books will allow students to utilize reading strategies specific to their reading level, while allowing them to enjoy a leveled book.
My students use strategies to read that are specific to their learning disability and needs. Reading is key for them to open the door to learn to read for enjoyment, as well beyond books and reading simple math word problems.
