My students need literacy games to practice sight words, identifying missing sounds, and using sounds to spell words!

As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty area, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Every child in our school receives free or reduced lunch, and a large percentage of students are considered homeless. Despite this, my students are excited to be part of a learning community where they feel safe and cared for.
Our classroom is an area where students are encouraged to work hard, collaborate with one another, and communicate clearly.
I encourage learning through exploration and value the intrinsic curiosity of my students.
Becoming a reader is a huge milestone for a kindergartener. This is perhaps the biggest change that can be seen in them from the beginning to the end of the year. There are so many stages of becoming a reader.
Reading skills do not come from just opening up a book and learning words.
My students need to learn other skills like letter sounds and sight words to help them become fluent readers. They need an opportunity to play with reading before they can fully engage in it.
These games will help my students enjoy concepts about words so that they can be more confident readers.
These games will give my students the opportunity to practice building words with sounds they have learned in my classroom! The Pop & Match game, as well as word building puzzles will also help foster communication, collaboration, and sportsmanship between my students!
The sight word steps offer my students a way to practice sight words they have learned in an a way that gets them active and engaged! I am excited about being able to offer my students a way to get moving and practice an important skill!
