This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My busy little Kindergartners are learning about community helpers and about goods and services. We have been having issues with behavior and felt like this would be a perfect time for students to not only learn about community helpers, but since we are also learning about money in math I though it would be a great time to incorporate a “store” in our classroom. These materials will help us create a classroom community and store where scholars can be paid for good behavior, or provide a good or service. Scholars will receive (POPPIN Bucks) to spend at our classroom store which will be filled with the toys and other manipulative on our list. Students will learn about: money, community helpers, goods and services, light housekeeping and more!
