My students need an iPad to keep up with technology in the 21st century.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
In recent years, technology has become more and more important in the classroom. We want to provide our Pre-K children with an iPad to help them have more opportunities to have hands-on learning.
Our school houses Pre-K to fifth grade students.
We are a Title 1 school that sits at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our classroom is a NC PK classroom that serves children that are four and five years old. For most of the children in my class, this is the first experience that they have had with a structured environment. We want to provide a rich learning experience during this critical period to instill the love of school.
Technology is a growing necessity in our schools. Our Pre-K children learn best when they are able to manipulate the object and have a hands-on approach. The iPad will provide hands-on learning with reading, writing and other important academic skills. We want our Pre-K children to become 21st century learners by incorporating technology in our classroom in various fun ways.
By providing our Pre-K children access to an iPad, we will be able to incorporate technology on a daily basis with various activities.
Our children can use the iPad to read a story in the book center, they can research a topic of their choice or take a picture of their block structure so they can recreate it the next day.
