My Project

My superstars have risen to meet and then exceed my expectations this year academically and behaviorally. I have been rewarding them, but it gets expensive, so many of these items like the fidgets and pens will be used as incentives for them to beat our weekly superstar challenges.

In teaching at a low income, urban middle school, we are limited on funds for classroom supplies so we have to get creative with our learning experiences.

Supplies like bins, a label maker, and even pencils will allow our investigations to go more smoothly and let us spend more time immersed in science exploration.

My girls LOVE our hands-on science -- we are completing our unit about chemical reactions and preparing to begin studying the weather. So far we have explored thermal energy by building fancy cups and learned about chemical reactions by determining what happens when a bath bomb is immersed in water. Learning experiences like these challenge students and fuel their curiosity, encouraging them to stay in school and develop them into future leaders. By contributing to this project, you would be ESSENTIAL on their journey by providing the means for them to experience science in an impactful way and provide them with basic needs.
