My students need equipment to participate in Law Enforcement competitions. This past competition they competed in, they did not have the proper flashlights. These Tactical Handheld Flashlights are the perfect size for what they need!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a group of students in our law enforcement club who are willing to go the distance to learn all they can about careers in Law Enforcement. Some of them know what particular field they want to go into and others are still on the fence but know they want some kind of law enforcement.
They come from all walks of life but the majority of them are from very low income families.
Some will be the first in their families to attend college. While a degree isn't always needed in Law Enforcement, I point out all the reasons they should get one - more likely to be promoted, more likely to be hired, easier to get a federal job, and the list goes on. As I like to say, what else are they going to do while they wait to turn 21 and are able to attend a police academy in our state!
My Project
My students love competing in local competitions in Law Enforcement but unfortunately, we lack all the necessary equipment needed to be competitive. One of the items we are lacking are proper flashlights.
The flashlights are needed to do building searches in dark places or at night at competition.
A compact flashlight is easier to hold when also holding a weapon. With these flashlights, my students will be able to compete at a more professional level while receiving a taste of what Law Enforcement is really like. I believe in my students and know they can win these competitions - they just need the right equipment to do it!
For many of these students this is their first taste of what Law Enforcement is really like. It allows them to decide if it is a career they want to pursue - it is not for everyone!
