My students need more resources for their teachers to prep learning studies and lesson plans with a new Ellison Die Cutter and additional die cut shapes.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We serve mainly low income students in the inner city of Milwaukee, WI. At my school we have a mission to "support the intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional development of children so they become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community.
Our program is special because we not only concentrate on the child's education but also the important role a parent or caregiver plays in a young person's development.
The families are valuable partners and the classroom is an important place.
My Project
Our school is in desperate need of a new die cutter and new die cuts. The die cutter we currently have no longer cuts through one piece of construction paper which means we still need to cut our letters or shapes out after running it through the cutter.
If there's one thing teachers need, it's resources.
Running a classroom can get quite expensive with all of the materials you need to provide, but luckily educators are one of the most resourceful people of all!
Myself and the teachers I work with would benefit from new die cuts and cutter to enhance our learning studies with the students and bulletin board displays to showcase our work to parents. This is something so valuable to a teacher because it produces quality cut outs and saves us time, which we know we are always low with!
