HELP! Urban Students Need Chromebooks to Bring Lessons to Life!
My students need Chromebooks so that could be more engaged in their lessons. Using sites like Google Cultural Institute could bring lessons to life.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
George Washington High School is one of the most diverse high schools in Philadelphia. The student body at GW is comprised of students from 70 different countries and speaking more than 40 languages. All students at the high school qualify for free lunch and live at or close to the poverty line, in a district with dwindling resources. Students at George Washington can excel academically if sufficient funds are invested in these students. One area in which these students lack is in test preparation.
We have all been bored in class at some point in our lives. One of the best benefits of having technology in the classroom is that it enriches instruction. That is why I love using Google Cultural Institute. If students can see examples of works of art from a literary period, say Romanticism, then they will have a better understanding of that time period in art and literature.
The goal of course is to have students engaged in the lessons and can see, and sometimes interact with, real-world examples of the lesson topics.
