This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a growing, diverse theatre department that seeks to cater to the needs of all the students we have on our campus. We are trying to bring varied instruction into the classroom and provide a safe environment for students to perform. We have students who are fired up at the opportunity to be in this show and are working very hard to make sure they give their best performance possible. Whether it's Shakespeare, children's theatre, or musicals, our students dive in head first and get actively involved in any opportunity to perform.

My Project

We are in need of a new portable sound board for our theatre department. The sound board that we had previously had finally died out and we are in need of some assistance. We have been slowly working on updating our technology so that our technical theatre students can be prepared as they enter college knowing how to use the latest technology that many theatres already have operating. By purchasing a new portable sound board we will be able to teach students on new technology as well as give them the ability to record sections of dialogue. A portable sound board will also allow us to take it with us on traveling productions as we do recruitment drives to our feeder middle schools.
