Help me give my students a laminator and pouches to create new, lasting works. Every day students will use the new rugs, clipboards, whiteboards to complete daily tasks, work, and art projects.
I teach in a public Montessori school in Chicago, IL. My classroom consists of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. My students love to explore the world around them. Through the Montessori philosophy, they have the ability to pursue their personal interests and passions in a safe, caring environment.

My students are special because they have the ability to work collaboratively with one another; absorbing information through a variety of learning modalities. Students have the freedom to move through the classroom using the materials available to them.
My Project
"The "prepared environment" is Maria Montessori's concept that the environment can be designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by the child.
In the calm, ordered space of the Montessori prepared environment, children work on activities of their own choice at their own pace.
They experience a blend of freedom and self-discipline in a place especially designed to meet their developmental needs." (1996-2017 NAMTA)
I will use the laminator and pouches to create new, lasting works for our classroom. The whiteboards and clipboards will replace old, worn down materials used for work time, recording, math and writing. The two new rugs will be used as seating options for work time.
