My students need an IXL membership to access the comprehensive, standards-aligned content for math & language arts.

More than 50% of the students in our school come from low-income families. Many are below grade level but eager to learn. My kids have made great strides in reading, writing, and math since the school year began. In September our entire school focused on shifting our thinking to a growth mindset. This helped expedite learning especially in reading.
These third graders amaze me with their determination to improve academically!
Many began the year below grade level or lacking foundation skills. Now they are defying the odds and on their way to closing/surpassing the achievement gap. In class they use Accelerated Reading in which they read books on their reading level and take a quiz to check for understanding. This has become a favorite pastime!
IXL is an engaging adaptive online learning program. It has been instrumental in fostering a genuine understanding of math and reading concepts. Each of my students is empowered to strive for mastery. They have become more confident learners and are intrinsically motivated to complete skills.
Since the beginning of the school year, students have achieved excellence in 1,100 third grade skills and answered 80,000 math and reading questions.
When they found out our membership expired they were devastated. Our school does not provide membership in IXL. Therefore I would have to purchase it. Without help, this is not likely.
Funding of this project would ensure students are able to continue the hard work they have been doing on IXL, with limited disruption. I will also be able to receive personalized and specific feedback, which helps guide my instruction.
