Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Special Education Teacher and I teach a self-contained 4th grade class. My students are ready to learn every single day they walk into the classroom. My school is a Title I school and students come from low income households, all students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students in my class come from Spanish speaking households.
Being a Special Education Teacher I want to make sure my students feel special everytime they walk through the classroom doors.
My Project
The first material that I am asking for is handheld white boards. I love to quiz my students and allow them to have mini competitions in the classroom. I do not have any white boards in my classroom and this will be perfect to allow my students to write their answers and hold it up.
Having a mini white board allows the class lesson to be interactive.
I am also asking for a whiteboard storage. This will be a great way to make sure the white boards do not get misplaced and students will know where they go. The next item I am asking for is buzzers. This will allow my classroom to become a "game show". Each group will get one buzzer and if they know a answer, they will press the buzzer and write their answer on their whiteboard. All these supplies will allow my students to become more social, and enjoy different types of lessons.
