This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The WBMS Warriors are a group of inner-city student-athletes in grades 5-8 in a very low-income school coached by one of their teachers.

The team does not receive funding from the school for essential equipment, we rely on fundraising and donations for even the most basic equipment such as wrestling shoes, uniforms, sweatshirts, mat tape, ice packs and knee pads etc.

They need all of this equipment to safely practice and compete in matches and tournaments. We are part of the Beat the Streets New England program and compete in matches and tournaments all around the state and sometimes out of state. This program helps keeps kids off the streets and doing positive things in the community! This program has helped kids find their path in life and continue to wrestle in high school, college and even come back to coach their old middle schools! Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will make an impact on many great students lives! Help give them a chance!
