My students need a mobile toolbox for their color guard events. We have been slowly rebuilding our guard program, and in order to do that they LITERALLY need specific tools and items to be successful.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are some of the best kids on campus. They are dedicated and loyal and are the heart of the school. From the fight songs on the first day of school, to the drum line at Homecoming, the band is what everyone at the school has come to expect. Our school is growing every year, and we take a lot of pride in what we do.
The band members know that they are the representatives not only of our school, but our community as well.
They provide community services at many of our city's events including our Independence Day parade and Veteran’s Day jazz concerts for our honored servicemen and women. The school has been open for well over a decade now, and lately equipment is starting to fall apart. With the necessary items such as this, we can keep our band program in “working order” for years to come.
My Project
The materials for this project will make a difference in our color guard's success and preparation throughout the school year.
As the students' skills develop and the programs become more difficult, the pressure of performance increases.
We want our students to be confident in any situation, and know they have the tools needed to address any obstacles that might occur.
The guard program has taken incredible strides to develop their skills, and having the support they need is well deserved. These kids work incredibly hard, and we would hate for them to have a subpar simply because they didn't have the equipment they needed. While it may be bold to call this toolbox an "emergency kit," we want our performers to know they have anything they need should problems arise.
These items will give our members "peace of mind" in knowing we can address any problem that may arise before a performance.
