This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are growing millennial sponges. Their academic growth potential is beyond me. Sometimes, they need to be able to grab a laptop and debate a point in lively classroom debates. Other times they should be able to find somewhere in the classroom to get comfortable and work on personal narratives. They are modest, sassy, diva, well-mannered, and anything but sheltered. These children are up to 80% at-risk youths. Every opportunity they have to increase their positivity towards learning will enable them to be motivated to complete their high school diploma programs.

My Project

The purpose of giving the kids lacrosse balls is to help them stretch, as well as so they can use them to alleviate joint and muscle pains from sitting at a desk all day! Hopefully, they will also take the balls outside and bounce them against the side of the house and get some sunshine while they are at it! It is very difficult to get the kids something affordable and helpful, but I think these lacrosse balls are going to have so many beneficial effects on my student learners!
