Since our PBIS Redmen Recognition store debut 2 years ago, our school’s discipline has dropped dramatically.
Our students model our mantra of being Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn and are awarded for doing so by earning cards to be used at our Redmen Recognition store.
The store includes items that motivate teenagers to display positive behaviors, such as candy, clothing apparel and school resources (passbooks, locks, folders, pencils, pens, etc.). The PBIS Committee, which consists of teachers, staff, administrators, and students meets twice a month to continue promoting positive behaviors and discipline amongst students in all grades at PSHS. Our PBIS positive recognition program is funded solely through generous donations and contributions from staff, community and fund-raising events. The PBIS team has worked hard to stock the PBIS Redmen Recoginition Store through these avenues. This project would help to keep the store stocked so that students who have engaged in positive behaviors can continue to be rewarded for those behaviors. We appreciate any help you can give us. My Project
The items purchased will be used for our recognition store in which students are able to cash in their reward cards for items such as candy, food items, fun socks, and/or school items. The Beats by Dre will be used for semester drawing.
These rewards will benefit our students by encouraging them to make wise choices around our building, which in turn will help make them better citizens in our community.
By making better choices and being rewarded for positive behaviors, our school should see a decrease in the amount of discipline given out. Therefore making PSH a home away from home.
