Help the 5th Grade Flex with Needed Flexible Seating!
Help me give my students flexible seating options. I'm trying to customize seating options for 20 students. The one ball I have has really helped one student focus. I believe it will help others.
I will be teaching 5th-grade science to three sections of 25 students in an inner-city school that is part of a large, urban district. With over 100% of our students receiving free breakfast and lunch, our students are faced with challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I do my best to ensure that each student is given the same opportunities as students in the surrounding districts. Our diversity is very reflective of the American culture, as are the school district's finances and those in it.
I want to be able to offer my students an education that is competitive to that of the more suburban surrounding districts.
Science can be a challenging subject in the 5th grade, but I strive to make it fun and effective and hope to make their learning experience one that will last with them long after they leave my classroom!
My Project
My fifth-grade students love learning. Throughout the year it is my job to engage them and give them the tools they need to be successful. With so many students needing assistance to focus, it is important to give them a comfortable classroom space. As students prepare for 6th grade, it is essential for me to give them choices and help them become more independent.
My students are curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
Help me give them flexible seating options that will promote movement throughout the day and comfortable space for them to work with their peers!
