This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend a Title I School, and almost seventy percent receive free or reduced price lunch and breakfast. They attend a magnet school which requires most students to maintain a B average throughout the year. The students are part of Pre-Med, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Computer Technology programs.
Our students come from the diverse backgrounds of thirty different countries.
This makes our school pretty special in so many ways. The students all work so hard and are very deserving of this project.
My Project
My students need Botley The Coding Robot & Action Challenge Accessory Pack to learn coding in our 6th and 7th grade classroom. It is so important to tie Math and Science together and there is nobetter way than through hands on activites. The activity set includes different hands-on materials, such as puzzles with dominoes that will allow the students to do different activitieswith the robot . This robot is engaging and allows students to move away from the desk and chair, and allow them to interact more with the robot and each other. Hands on activities are the ones the kids will remember for life.
