My students need a microwave, indoor grill, and a toaster oven to meet the needs of their various disabilities.

My Students

Have you ever wanted to participate in an event and someone said you could not? Have you ever wanted something to eat and it was on a shelf you just could not reach? Each day, my students with severe disabilities experience this feeling.

I have a group of the most wonderful students with severe disabilities you will ever meet!

We teach these students how to be as independent as they possibly can. We wash clothes, clean and cook, but our students in wheel chairs are unable to reach the appliances we currently have in place. The microwave we current have is mounted above the stove and the students in wheelchairs can not reach it. We have to take the students down the hall to the teacher work room to use the microwave that is in reach so they can participate. They are also not able to reach the oven to turn it on and the safely cook.

My Project

If we were had a new microwave we could place on a table and the grill and toaster over, the students could participate just as all of the other students do! All of my students deserve the same opportunity to learn and with the help of donors and FEED USA, we can do it!

My students are a wonderful group of young adults and all deserve the same chances to learn!

I hope with your help, we can help teach our students to cook and maybe even "FEED the USA".
