Help me give my students a speaker for band events events plus additional music to play in band.

My Project

This project fills two needs we have in our school. All of these items will be purchased to help our band program. The portable speaker with microphone will help a huge array of events. We will use that to play accompaniment recordings in band lessons throughout our high school and additionally when we work with young elementary students in town too! We will also be able to use it at assemblies and events both in and outside of our school day. We run events like pep rallies, fundraisers for breast cancer awareness and community events like a tree lighting. The band music purchased will go to our band library. We have tripled the size of our school band in the last six years. I am looking for new and exciting grade level appropriate works for our band to perform. These items will support both the social and emotional health of our students by allowing us to build community within the band and within our school by performing at events. It will also support our learning and our academic renewal because we are working towards a recovery from the effects of time away from music during our time dealing with COVID. This music is the correct level to encourage and challenge our students while still being accessible to them so this project will also support student enrichment. If this project receives funding, our school will reap the benefits for many years to come!
