Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a Title 1 school, and the funds from this still don't cover everything that we need to truly support our students. The majority of my students come from a low-income background. Most of them come from broken homes, and I have several who are considered homeless.
My project is designed to allow my students to have experiences that they may not have ever been able to before.
Let's help them get what they might need to succeed!
My Project
I work at a Title 1 school, and funding is stretched to the breaking point just to get us the bare minimum we need. My students often cannot afford lunch, much less basic school supplies. Having these basic materials, such as scissors, markers, and colored pencils, available to them will allow them to be more successful in the classroom. Additionally, the lab materials will allow them to explore, discover, and experience things that they would not otherwise be able to without help. This project will not only help my current students, but also those I will teach in the future, as some materials are reusable. Thanks for helping!
