Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

It's the middle of the year and supplies are dangerously low. My students brought supplies but markers run out, pencils get sharpened to the nub, and notebooks get full.

My students are active learners who need supplies to let their true creative side out.

We love to color cordinate, write and create our own stories. Using the materials we can replenish our low supplies and really ramp up our efforts for the second half of the year.

My Project

We will use the notebooks to record our thoughts and journal about our reading. We will use the markers and colored pencils to illustrate and decorate our projects. Our current project is to design a monster for Monster's University and then create a backstory for our character.

It's tough to be creative when your markers have run out and our notebooks are full.

We need supplies to continue our mission to accept all children and inspire those learners. We need supplies to make our classroom work.
