My Project

The use of whiteboards and markers is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards and markers for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. Our whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Whiteboards markets and wipes will help immensely. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, the use of wobble seat cushions, dividers and chair bands gives them a perfect choice. We are always running out of pencils and erasers, and pencil sharpeners always seem to break. These are essential in a students everyday learning. The need for folders keep student organized. We switch classes and black folders are hard to come by. Flare pens are the perfect tool for correcting errors to see exactly where students made mistakes. Sticky notes help student take notes and keep track of important information. And smarties are a perfect treat to keep students motivated!
