The students I teach are in a special education class for students with autism. The students have unique needs and struggle daily with significant communication and learning needs. They work everyday on their life skills, daily living skills and communication. I work with them on communicating verbally and through communication devices.
Children who have autism also have difficulties with communication, learning, social interaction and imaginative play.
I would like to provide them with various tools to help them with these challenges. The students work very hard on a daily basis and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
My Project
The scooters and jump ropes will help the students with autism and their coordination and attention. They will also help them with their motor skills, following simple directions, and focus.
The students with autism will benefit greatly from the physical education equipment.
We work with the students with autism on communication, motor skills, physical education, following directions, and working together cooperatively.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. Your donation will help the students tremendously and improve their skills not only in school but also the community. We will use the scooters in the gym to help the students with coordination, motor skills, and exercise. The jump rope will be used in the gym too. We will use the jump rump to help the students with exercise and coordination.
