Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom of 23 students, about half of whom receive special education services. Our students are eager to learn and need the resources in order to be successful in their studies! Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with most of our students receiving free lunch. My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them for the rest of the day!
My Project
For all lessons, a clear measure of understanding from the students is needed to ensure all students are grasping concepts taught to them. Using dry erase boards helps to ensure student learning while giving each student a voice during the lesson! The use of these dry erase boards, markers, erasers (as well a a place to house all of these materials) will ensure that all students are engaged and excited about lessons; ranging from math to science, or reading and writing, my students need these tools to showcase their learning! These will be utilized in whole group, small group, as well as one to one lessons!
