Help me give my students the gift of practice and flexibility. I want each of my students to have their own whiteboards and markers to work at their own pace and practice unlimited writing and reading.
Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I am an interventionist at one of only a handful of public charter schools for children with dyslexia in the United States. Dyslexia is a language-based processing disorder that can cause problems in reading, writing, and sometimes speaking. Our school is brand new and starts this year - 2018!! Our school will provide free and appropriate education to all children with dyslexia. I will be teaching children in 1st through 5th grades. I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach these amazing students and to help give back to the community.
I want my students to have their own white boards and markers so they can work at their own pace. I want my own portable white board and markers to carry with me when I pull out students from other classes to work in different rooms.
My students need lined white boards to help them construct letters, words, and sentences properly.
It is important for my students to have a lot of repetition when forming letters and words. I want my students to have access to their own whiteboards (with unlimited practice potential) along with traditional pencil and paper. The whiteboards will also allow my students to write large letters, which will help them with kinesthetic memory.
