My Students

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. ~Author Unknown I became a teacher to inspire and make a difference in my students lives through meaningful teaching.

I teach in a lower economic area but with students who love learning, aspire to be better students, and deserve to overcome their circumstances.

Some of my students have not been given every opportunity that they deserve but I stave to find materials that give my students fun and hands on activities that peak their interest and encourage them to become stronger readers.

My Project

I believe in hands on learning and my students time is spent in small group settings where they have the opportunity to work with myself as well as individually, or with partners. These materials will give my students a purpose and direction while keeping them engaged without losing focus. It will give my students a chance to hear what fluent readers sound like while giving them the practice they need.

These fluency activities are fun, exciting, and meaningful.

Instead of spending time redirecting and losing those teachable moments because my students are off task, I can spend more time making my students hard working students who will gain the same love of learning that I have. Every child is capable of great things, teachers just need the time, patience, and materials to make a difference. I have the time and patience, now I just need the materials!
