My Students

Can you imagine being locked in a room with nothing to do to stimulate your mind?

My students are incarcerated 24 hours a day in a juvenile detention center.

They attend school during the day, and they sleep in cells at night. My students are working hard to transform their lives, and they see education as a key to do this. They love to use writing as a way to empower themselves and are improving each and every day.

My Project

My students need composition books so they can compose essays and poetry at night. They are currently without supplies, and these books would allow them to stimulate their minds during the times they spend in their cells. Students are working on poetry and expository essays right now, and they desperately want to work on their writing outside of the school day. Please help my students have access to paper!

My students are incredible youth with countless potential.

They have the ability to do anything, they just need the support and the resources so they can express themselves through the written word. Please help me help my students.
