Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At Skyview High School you will find caring and compassionate teachers and staff who work to build a safe and positive learning environment that recognizes and encourages a diverse student population to reach their goal of graduating. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds. We are an alternative school which means we do not turn away any student. Some students at our school have families and kids of their own, are primary breadwinners, come from low-income or foster homes, etc. Whatever their story, the students of Skyview have the support of all of the teachers and staff around them.

They deserve access to the best education possible. I am so thankful to be a part of a school that feels like a family. When you walk into Skyview, you can see the love and effort that goes into creating an environment that is conducive to our students' growth and success.
My Project
These science supplies will greatly help enhance my students understanding of biology. Students learn best when they are able to interact with the lessons being taught. The microscope slides will allow students to explore concepts in biology at a cellular level and hopefully spark greater passions. The dissection kits will give students the opportunity to better understand the structure and function of different organisms.
The donations to this project will help science students at Skyview for years to come.
By creating a classroom environment will more hands-on education opportunities, I hope to encourage students to explore careers in STEM and develop a stronger motivation for learning.
