My students are an astounding group of children. They come in every day excited to learn and to see what fun activities we are going to do together. Many of my students come from very little and don’t always have what they need for that day. There are many students in our Title I school, and getting supplies for each one of them can sometimes be a challenge.
These projects will help my students succeed and reach levels they never imagined they could before!
My students should be able to walk into the classroom and not think negatively, as in "I forgot my pencil" or "I ran out of room in my notebook." My students should be able to think positively and openly, as in "I know my school and teacher have my back, and I will be able to learn the way I need to."
My Project
Students will use these items daily in their science classroom. They will use the paper and pencils for daily notes, activities, and lab projects. In our science class, we do a wide variety of activities that require students to write formulas or results down before moving on to the next step.
They will no longer need to stress if one day they forget a pencil or run out of paper because their classroom will be there to help!
Students will use the coloring supplies (markers, crayons and colored pencils) to help organize their daily notes, activities, and lab projects. They won't look at a boring black and white paper, but a colorful one that will grab their attention!
