This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students come from a great, supportive community in which teachers and parents work together to provide the best and most positive environment for each child.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and each brings amazing and new experiences to the classroom each day. My students are a 12:1:1 classroom and come to school each day motivated, engaged, and excited to learn.

My Project

Having a Cricut Easy Press would provide my students with a machine that could quickly and efficiently let them use their imaginations to create projects that we can display in our classroom and on bulletin boards in our hallways. My students love being able to see their work displayed as well as receiving photographs feedback from other teachers and peers! This machine would allow my students to create and design projects with several different materials.

Since it is easy to use, it will foster creativity, imagination and design amongst my diverse learners!
