My Students

My students are joyful and compassionate, and are learning how to be leaders in our classroom every day. We serve a unique population of children at our school, with a high population of students from military families and students with special needs. This variety in backgrounds leads to a great diversity in students, particularly in their academic needs.

Because of the diverse range of needs in my classroom, I have the opportunity (and need) to individualize instruction as much as possible.

The students in my class take school seriously, and feel so proud of their growth throughout the school year. It is my joy as a teacher to be able to give them the differentiated support they need!

My Project

ScootPad is an amazing online resource that helps students to practice their Math and English Language Arts standards. The website will generate practice questions based on each individual students need, and then has video lessons built in that students can access if they are stuck on a question. The website has fun rewards built in, so students are motivated to complete their practices. As a teacher, this would be an invaluable resource to make sure that each student is getting the individualized practice they need.

Having access to ScootPad will help my students build their confidence in their mastery of second grade standards, while also helping them develop their computer literacy skills.
