My students are in an urban school and come from varying backgrounds and experiences, my students are a diverse bunch. We are a school that believes in our students at each and every grade and ability.
My students deserve to have every opportunity to succeed.
At such a young age they have their entire lives to find what they want to be, but this is the foundation for their learning and life long success. This is the time for them to learn that they can do whatever they set their mind to.
My Project
I am returning to the classroom and want to have a variety of high interest books for my students to enjoy. Far too often students have a disinterest in reading because they "have to" rather than "want to."
I want to help instill a love of reading into my students.
I want them to be excited about a new book and help them grow as learners. They need books that will take them to new places and provide new experiences.
These books will help replenish my classroom library and provide new choices and reading experiences to all of my students.
