Students at my school come together from many different backgrounds and abilities to create a beautiful community that we call home. We have both self-contained Montessori classes and self-contained gifted classrooms, as well as our mainstream classrooms, so we are able to meet a large variety of learning styles and student needs.
My students are curious about how the world works, and I try to foster that curiosity with a project-based curriculum and hands-on learning experiences.
Our school is a place where we can come together and build while exploring concepts in science, the arts, engineering, and more.
My Project
Our Makerspace has been open for 2 years now, and I am always working on refilling the most popular items. This project will refill all of our favorite consumables, the items that students use up most! Pipe cleaners, duct tape, paper, and magnets are all treasured materials that we love to turn into other things, and we use them all daily. And I can't forget our most used item, hot glue sticks!
My students love being able to make their ideas come to life in the Makerspace.
By refilling the space with our most used items, my students will be able to continue to be creative and build on a daily basis.
