My students need supplies to start the year strong! They especially need Kleenslate dry erase markers to help us learn letters on our Kleenslate boards.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Think about coming into a kindergarten classroom with students who have varied ethnic backgrounds and whose primary language is not English. These students often need extra support for learning English but always manage to come to school with the biggest smiles on their faces. Every day, I teach my students the English language, as well as to read, write, and math concepts.
Many of these students do not have English language support at home.
I immerse them in the English language and help them become successful. My school prides itself on being able to bring students together for creative endeavors. With help from donors, we've already been able to fund multiple successful and engaging projects.
My Project
Learning our letters and sounds are some of the basics that are taught in kindergarten. In order to help us learn to write letters, we use our Kleenslate dry-erase boards on a regular basis. Our supply of Kleenslate markers is minimal since we practice writing letters, sounds, sight words and sentences everyday.
We need new Kleenslate erase markers to start the year strong!
In addition to Kleenslate markers, we are in need of felt tip pens, smelly stickers, and laminating pouches. When my little kinders see me using the felt tip pens, they what to use them because the pens have "magic" in them to help the children write sentences. The smelly stickers are always nice to have on hand for positive reinforcement. We are so excited to receive these materials.
