My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids! They are hard-working students who are held to high expectations.
They want to succeed and try their best every day.
Many students face numerous challenges in their lives. Despite this, they show up at school excited and ready to learn! My students are singers, readers, and leaders! I couldn't be prouder to be their teacher.
My Project
When a student has an accident at school, it can be a traumatic and embarrassing time for them. This is only compounded when no clean undergarments are available. Though we have some donated uniforms available, the counselors don't have boy's briefs. Many students must go without undergarments at all or remain in wet clothes till the end of the day. This project will provide a selection of boys' underwear, in sizes XS-XXL, that will be given to the counselors to be dispensed when needed. Also included are socks; to replace ones that get soiled.
For an elementary child, occasional urinary continence can't be avoided; but what can be avoided or minimized is the negative feelings associated with it.
A clean undergarment provides our boys with the support they need to get back into their school day. With your help to meet this vital need, our young boys will be supported are cared for through a difficult time.
