With 20+ little learners in my classroom you can imagine that anything to aid in calming and keeping clean is a must have! A soothing and nurturing classroom makes for happy learners.
I teach 20+ amazing first grade students in an urban setting.
Our school is very diverse. From ethnic to family to economic diversity, we celebrate everyone! Our school is an inclusive school which means every class has students with special needs. We teach a peaceful approach to learning together.
My Project
We need a Diffuser with various essential oils to help calm, as well as keep healthy, the students in my classroom. The children will benefit from lavender oils which calm and eucalyptus oil which helps with stuffy noses. We will use the diffuser during class time so the children can benefit. We also need hand wipes for before the children go to lunch. They sure do get dirty by then and this will also help the children to stay healthy. Our class needs a floor mat for the students to wipe their feet when they come in from the outside with dirty shoes. When they walk in we say "choo-choo feet" and they walk like a train, wiping their feet, as they enter. Our class needs shammies to wipe up the inevitable spill by the sink in our class. The paper towels from the dispenser do not wipe up liquid well and it is dangerously slippery. A quick wipe with a shammy will do the trick.
