This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning, driving into the Little Village Community, I am surrounding by colorful and vivid murals with so many details. I want to bring this into the classroom with an LCD projector.
I teach in Little Village.
My students come from a high-poverty area and school gives them a safe haven. My students are always excited when technology is incorporated into their lessons. It enhances the engagement of the students. I teach diverse learners and many of them are visual learners. The LCD projector will help them engage in their learning experience and become successful learners.
My Project
My students would greatly benefit from one Epson LCD Projector. My students will be able to watch numerous videos, which will help the students understand 6th grade math skills. Furthermore, they will be able to engage in whole group math games at the 6th grade level and also at lower levels to close the achievement gap, which is crucial. These online math games will give them a chance to learn to love math and to believe that they can succeed in math.
The Epson LCD projector will bring mathematics alive and show them that math can be exciting and is relevant to them.
In addition, the LCD projector will allow me to introduce a phenomenal program, Class Dojo, to the students. This program provide immediate positive reinforcement to every student as a result of good behavior, good academics, and being on task.
