Dear Donors: I am an art teacher writing on behalf of my students at Gladstone Elementary. We love to paint. We use tempera and watercolors with paintbrushes, sponges, toothbrushes, marbles, stamps, etc. We spend loads of time creating magnificent paintings. Unfortunately, we do not have a proper drying rack for our paintings. We are forced to stack paintings that aren't quite dry and inevitably create painted paper sandwiches. Sometimes we hang the paintings to dry on a clothes wire and our paintings (especially the ones that are inspired by Van Gogh) drip all over our heads. We would love to prevent this sort of disaster with your generosity. We are asking for you to help us to acquire a drying rack. This furniture for our art classroom will ensure that our lovely paintings will be preserved so that we can display them properly around the school. Thank you for your consideration.
