Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I currently teach 9 children who range from 3 to 5 years old. Because of the way the school’s program is set up, some of my students will be with me for almost three school years. Their family becomes part of my family! They are very energetic and their needs vary greatly from one child to the next. These little explorers surprise me every day with their great tenacity for learning and in the creative ways their minds work! Thank you!

My Project

The students within my class have various needs and abilities. Many of them need accommodations in order to successfully perform in the classroom and on assessments, including the use of iPads due to delayed motor skills. They desperately need touch screen technology within the classroom so they can learn, explore, grow, and prepare for their future in both school and life. Thanks to this organization and those who generously donated, we currently have one new iPad. Please help us continue building our technology library in the classroom with another iPad.
