This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are in need of a beautiful, calming space to calm down when days get a little tough. I believe that the atmosphere and environment influence the way in which children grow, develop, and learn. By funding this project, you are giving my students a safe space to calm down, collect their thoughts, and reevaluate their choices within the learning environment.
My students are deserving of a clean space in which they are able to work through any feelings of uneasiness, trauma, sadness, and/or anger.
This project includes various types of bulletin board paper and border styles to revamp the old bulletin and chalkboards. The pencil holder will be used to store drawing materials that the students can use to calm down. Last, the picture frames will showcase encouraging and grounding statements that the students can look towards for motivation. They will be so ecstatic to utilize this space in the near future.
