My students need a bus and tickets to visit the local Children’s Museum to enhance their learning.

Our school's population consists of culturally diverse students with a range of learning strengths and educational backgrounds. Many of my students are bilingual and some are even trilingual. For many, English is not their first language. All students in our school receive free lunch.
Each morning I am happy to see my students enter our classroom with smiles on their faces, excited to learn!
My students are naturally inquisitive, attentive and motivated to learn when they have the right materials and engaging learning experiences. My classroom is filled with gifted artists, creative writers, avid readers, brilliant mathematicians and skillful builders, just to name a few of their developing talents. Help us provide them with the materials and experiences to further unlock their greatest potential.
Currently, our K1 students are learning about wind and water as part of OWL (Opening the World of Learning, our Pre-K literacy curriculum). Students are exploring the movement of water, how weather affects water movement, the main stages in the water cycle and the states of matter, through books and guided discovery. While OWL offers a variety of in-class learning opportunities, the themes in the curriculum open up a pathway to several field experiences.
Your generous donation to our project will enable our students to develop a passion for learning through hands-on explorations beyond the classroom.
Boston Children’s Museum offers a variety of amazing hands-on, interactive and engaging exhibits and programs for children. One exhibit that would greatly supplement and enrich our current unit is Peep’s World. The students would be able to investigate the wonder of water and develop important science skills such as observing, comparing and predicting. Students will also have the opportunity to strengthen their motor skills by scooping and pouring water, and making shadows with their bodies and hands.
This incredible experience creates a tangible way for the students to partake in the curriculum, develop a passion for science and inquiry and spark a love of lifelong learning!
