This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

If you want to see terrific kids, help fund our project and see the pictures of my class. These children are so fun-loving and full of life. Each day, not only are they learning, I am also learning new things from them.

Many of these children come from low-income homes.

It is very hard for them to get supplies and the items they need to help them in life. They deserve to have the very best. They attend a wonderful school; however, like many schools, money has become an issue.

My Project

My children have asked me if we could get a class laptop. I asked them why they need one. They told me that our computer doesn't work well and a laptop has better educational games, math and literacy programs. Each day the children will get 15 minutes with their partner to use the laptop. We would share ideas about the games and programs and pick the ones that fit our class the best. This is a great way for children to learn and enhance math and literacy skills through hands on activities. Its also a great way for children to have visuals and gain understanding of specific topics and themes.
