I teach eighteen wonderful children in the New York City area. Many of these children come from low-income families and do not have the resources to enhance their academic skills.
These children are fun-loving and full of life and they deserve to have the resources they need to help them succeed in school.
We have a great school, but due to budget cuts, it's hard to get the funds for the materials we need in the classroom. You can help make a difference in these children's lives.
My Project
Every child should have a clean and restful place in the classroom. Many children do not bring blankets and have to rest on a hard mat. Prek is a long day for a four year old. They need to have a rest time to help them focus during the day. There are many germs in school and the classroom. We want to help reduce the spread of germs by giving each child a clean place to rest. You can help us by supporting my class in getting their own rest mats that they will be able to take home each week and clean. The children will put their own mat down for rest time. No one else will touch it. We will then place it in a bag after rest time to keep it clean. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.
