WLC's wrestling team produces State championship level wrestlers year after year! Our athletes come from a variety of different social and economic backgrounds.
Unfortunately, like most other sports, our school district cannot fund the costs associated with our team.
Our team must purchase it's own uniforms, equipment and cover all our transportation and tournament entry fees.
Please help us to be able to continue offering this awesome opportunity to every athlete who wants to be on our team!
My Project
We compete with other teams at the highest level in the State of Michigan. Each year we miss making the MHSAA State Tournament by a few points. Our goal is to help our athletes improve enough to qualify for a state tournament.
Our coaches include every student-athlete who wants to try wrestling, no matter their ability or financial circumstances.
They ensure quality training and require a strong academic commitment.
To make the next level our team needs an Airdyne Bike and assorted Cross-fit equipment including items like scoreboards, jump ropes, headgear, a mat transporter, scale, and climbing rope. These items will allow the team to train in a different way. This specialized training will lead to an improvement in their conditioning and hopefully a State Tournament experience.
